XION LABS (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates The Atelier application (“The Atelier” or “App”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use The Atelier. By using the App, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information necessary to provide and improve The Atelier:

  • Account information: Email address, display name, and profile photo when you sign up or sign in (including via Google Sign-In).
  • Profile data: Height, weight, and other profile details you provide during onboarding or in settings.
  • Closet and content: Photos and details of clothing items you add to your digital closet, including AI-generated tags and metadata.
  • Avatars and outfits: Avatar images (including those created from your photos), saved outfit “looks,” and styling preferences.
  • Usage and analytics: Aggregated usage metrics (e.g., feature usage, AI query type and duration, success/failure) to improve the service. We may store identifiers such as user ID in connection with these metrics.
  • Location (if used): The App may use device location for features such as local weather; we do not use location for advertising.
  • Payment information: If you make in-app purchases, payment processing is handled by third-party providers (e.g., Razorpay). We do not store full payment card details on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to operate and improve The Atelier, including:

  • Providing account and profile features, closet storage, styling suggestions, and virtual try-on.
  • Running AI-powered features (e.g., outfit suggestions, image enhancement, avatar creation) via secure, server-side processing.
  • Managing credits and usage for AI features.
  • Analyzing aggregated usage to improve performance and user experience.
  • Communicating with you about the App (e.g., important updates or security notices).

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

The Atelier relies on the following types of third-party services:

  • Firebase (Google): Authentication, cloud database (Firestore), and file storage. Google’s privacy policy applies to their processing: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Google Gemini: AI features (e.g., image and text processing) are powered by Google’s Gemini API. Data sent for AI processing is subject to Google’s applicable terms and privacy practices.
  • Payment providers (e.g., Razorpay): Payment data is processed by the provider; their privacy policy applies to payment-related data.

5. Data Retention & Security

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and comply with legal obligations. We use industry-standard measures (including encryption and secure cloud infrastructure) to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we encourage you to use a strong password and keep your account credentials safe.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

  • Access and update your account and profile information within the App.
  • Delete your account: You may permanently delete your account and associated data (closet, avatars, outfits) from within the App (e.g., via Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete my account). This action is irreversible.
  • Data export: We are working on a “Download my data” feature to allow you to export your data; it will be available in a future update.

If you are in a region that provides additional rights (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), you may contact us to exercise those rights.

7. Children

The Atelier is not directed at children under 13 (or equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of The Atelier after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. For material changes, we may provide additional notice (e.g., in-app or by email).
